Guided Meditation

If
you would like to live a more fulfilled life, first you will want to know your
potential and who you really are. Meditation is the route to that knowing, it
is the practice of inner awareness.
The purpose of Meditation is not to
create a system of beliefs, rather a process through which you learn how to
calm the mind and body, giving rise to a sense of tranquillity, enquiry and
insight.
Research published in the journal of Psychosomatic Medicine
(2003) demonstrates a direct correlation between the practice of meditation and
the reduction of stress, improved well-being, and a decrease in stress related
anxiety and other depressive conditions.
Garri Wiest and Brunhild
Maslen run a weekly meditation programme in Hertfordshire. Garri trained
originally at the Kannonji Temple in Japan in the Zen tradition, whilst
Brunhild follows the Thai - Yoga path. Together, they provide a unique blend of
'form' and 'flow' in their relaxed teaching approach. Garri is also a
Psychotherapist in private practice combining Gestalt Psychotherapy and
Ecopsychology in his work. Brunhild is a Eurythmist and Thai-yoga practitioner
also in private practice.
We run two Mediation programmes:
- Guided Group Meditation: Sunday mornings from 11.00 - 12.00
- Focused one-to-one sessions: aimed at specific issues such as:
- Stress,
- Bereavement and illness
- Anxiety and depression
